DPF DELETE/REMAPPING

Advantages of
DPF Delete

If your DPF becomes damaged, it can be quite expensive to repair. Plus, removing the particulate matter can affect your vehicle’s power, fuel economy, and engine life. Over time, An existing DPF system will create poor fuel economy. Once removed, fuel economy can improve by up to 30%. Aside from eliminating the maintenance and possible repair issues associated with the DPF, there are various other benefits to deleting it. These include:

  1. Fuel economy improvement: In order for regeneration to occur, the DPF draws in fuel. After the DPF is deleted, fuel economy often improves because this fuel is no longer needed for filter cleaning.
  2. Improved engine power: The DPF also restricts the engine, preventing it from operating at its full potential so once removed engine will be improved.

SYMPTOMS OF DIESEL ENGINE DPF FAILURE

Like most other failures in your diesel engine, there are a few key symptoms you can watch out for to let you know if you have a failing DPF filter. Here are four symptoms to look for if your DPF is in need of service:

DPF Differential Pressure Sensor Alert will appear on the dashboard, alerting you that the DPF is plugged.

Cracks can appear on the DPF filter, which can also cause black smoke to emit from the tailpipes.

Soot might appear in the tailpipe. The DPF may be damaged internally, allowing soot to pass through the filter and out of your tailpipe

Problems associated with DPF, EGR AND ADBLUE

Some of the problems are:

  1. EGR valve problems, such as stuck or fouled EGR components – EGR failure contaminates the inlet with oily “wet” residues, causing excessive dense soot loading.
  2. Turbo failure – oil passes through turbo seals into the exhaust housing and the burnt oily residue enters the DPF, causing excessive dense soot loading.
  3. Diesel exhaust is notoriously dirty and oily soot and carbon buildup from the exhaust will eventually clog up and when this happened the performance of the engine will be drastically reduced and sometimes the car will be automatically go to limp mode.
